School trip to San Francisco for Grades 7 & 8

The Grade 7 and 8 students are on a school trip to San Francisco, California, from February 5 to 11.

They will work on a project centered on three themes: History (with a visit to Alcatraz and to the Maritime National Historical Park), Geography (through an urban landscape analysis, and the exploration of a North-American metropolis), and Physical and Sports Education (they will make a sports challenge – the Olympic strides – with the objective of walking 60 km, and they will observe and analyze an NBA basketball game).

An urban photography project is added to these three study themes. Students will apply the rules of urban photography composition and use photography as a support for a final presentation. As a bonus, the school will organize the election of the most beautiful photo of the week!

This trip will also allow our 12/13-year-old students to develop social and personal skills: community life, autonomy, and taking on responsibilities.

In a few words, a very enriching international experience on all levels: educational, personal and social!
