  1. Fabrication of bird, bat and insect shelters

The Environment week, May 8-11, 2018

DAY 1 – WATER

  • Experiment on water filtering -> Grade 1, 2 & 3
  • What water is used for -> Preschool Y1
  • Creation of satellites to observe our planet -> KG, Gr4 & 5

Day 2 – RECYCLING

  • Conference on recycling in BC by Recycle BC  -> all school
  • Paper making -> Gr1-2
  • Planting in Preschool and KG classes

Day 3 – BEES AND POLLINATION

  • Conference on bees and pollination  -> all school
  • Insect shelters making -> middle school

Day 4 – SALMONS

  • Conference on the importance of salmons among First Nations  -> all school
  • Release of salmons born at school in a river -> Gr3 & middle school

Throughout the week, interviews with professionals invited and students were conducted by middle-school students for the Web radio. Some records are already available online on our Web radio page. You are invited to discover them!
