The Grade 7 and 8 classes spent a week in Chicago to participate in the North American Zone Basketball Tournament, which brought together 16 schools from the AEFE network, representing 13 cities across Canada and the United States.

🏀 3 days of athletic competition
21 boys’ teams and 12 girls’ teams gathered at a large sports complex for an intense athletic and social adventure!
Both Cousteau teams demonstrated tremendous sportsmanship and faced their opponents with perseverance! Congratulations to our basketball players for their commitment and exemplary attitude!

Highlight
They had the chance to attend an NBA game between the Chicago Bulls and the Toronto Raptors!

🏙️ Historical and Cultural Exploration
The students immersed themselves in Chicago’s history and culture with a visit to the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry and by taking in the view from the Willis Tower.
A cruise allowed them to experience the city in a different way, observing its iconic architecture and exploring its geography.
Finally, a cultural escape game took them to several historic sites.

This school trip was an opportunity to celebrate the core values of school sport, strengthen bonds among students, allow them to meet students from the network, and discover a North American metropolis!
