Financial Assistance
At Cousteau School, we understand that financial considerations are important for families. While we do not offer an internal financial assistance program, families may be eligible for external support through programs offered by the Government of British Columbia and the Government of France.
1. BC’s Affordable Child Care Benefit Program
Cousteau School’s Pre-K programs for 3- and 4-year-olds are licensed as “daycare” by the province of British Columbia. This allows residents of BC to apply for the Affordable Child Care Benefit, which is income-based.
Eligibility and Benefits:
- Assistance is determined by family income.
- Support is available for families meeting the program’s criteria.
How to Apply:
To determine your eligibility and estimate the amount of assistance, visit the government’s website under the Affordable Child Care Benefit section.
2. School Bursary from the French Government
Cousteau School is certified by the French Ministry of Education, which enables French citizens to apply for school bursaries. These bursaries are managed by the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE).
Eligibility and Process:
- Bursaries are awarded based on income and assets.
- Applications are reviewed by the school bursary service of the Consulate General of France in Vancouver.
Key Dates:
- Applications are accepted during two sessions each year: March and September.
For detailed information about eligibility criteria and the calculation method, contact the French Consulate in Vancouver.
